The funds raised by HIV Walk New Mexico & 5K Fun Run support organizations provide treatment, medication, prevention education, meals, housing, mental health services, child care, substance abuse counseling, pastoral care, and research to those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
UNM Truman Health Services – UNM Truman Health Services was founded in 1985 to provide quality treatment and management of HIV/AIDS. Our Level 3 NCQA Patient Centered Medical Home continues to offer the highest level of care and the latest treatment options for New Mexicans living with HIV/Stage 3 (AIDS). Funds will go to the Truman School-based HIV Education, Testing and Prevention Program.
Common Bond – Over the years, Common Bond has acquired programs begun by other organizations. Currently Common Bond has three programs: Under 21, Emergency Project, and SAGE. Funds will go to the HIV Patient Emergency Fund.
Camp Corazones – Provides an annual four day children’s summer camp, age five to twelve years, at no cost to the children and families afflicted with the disease of HIV.
