Pridefest: Art Show
Entering the Art Show
Beginning Friday, June 13, all artists of all ages, in all mediums, are invited to display their work at the 2008 Pride Art Show. Download more information and the entry form.
Entry in the Art Show includes free admission to the Friday night Art Show Opening and Awards Ceremony for artists submitting 2 or more works. Entry is $5 per piece.
There are professional, amateur and youth artist divisions for the art show. The categories are:
- Painting-oil and acrylic
- Painting-watercolor and tempura
- Sculpture
- Mixed Media/Batik
- Digital Art
- Prints (color and black & white)
- Drawings (color and black & white)
- Pastels
- Photography
- Jewelry
- Digital Imagery
Ribbons will be awarded in each category and for Best in Show and People's Choice.
Art Show
Friday, June 13, at 6:30 p.m., at the Fine Arts Building, at Expo New Mexico, will be the opening of the 2008 Pride Art Show. Awards will be presented at this time and many of the artists will be there to discuss their work. Many pieces will also be for sale so come early and shop. Hours 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. on Friday and 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
